What I’m sharing with you all right now is a quick update  and some information on our new Senior Rep/Model program.  This is for current Juniors only.  We are looking for some outgoing, fun, energetic people who will be graduating next year.   Class of 2014!

Not Everyone can be a Cinematic Afterglow Senior Rep/Model.  We will be choosing just a few 2014 seniors to represent us, so fill out the application and get it to us Soon!

Senior Rep Application and Model Release

This is a great way to get some pretty amazing images for your senior year, have fun and earn free stuff!!  Only 1 or 2 Senior Reps will be chosen per school.

What we need from you:

Must be 2013 Junior which means you will be a graduating Senior in 2014

Have Reasonably fair grades (We want you to Graduate!)

Fill out and sign Senior Rep Application and Model Release  (Your parents must sign the Model Release) by March 29th

Be available for our first session by Mid April, 2013

Invest $50 towards your initial session ($125 value), after our first session, additional photo or video sessions held at Cinematic Afterglow’s discretion will be free.

Be willing to model for more than one photo or video session.

Be excited about talking about Cinematic Afterglow, your experience with us and share us with your friends, classmates and family.

Must use Cinematic Afterglow exclusively for your Senior Portraits and represent Cinematic Afterglow Photography exclusively.  (You can’t be a Senior Rep/Model for another photographer)

Have Fun, Be Creative and Love being in front of the camera.

We’ll be making appointments that day for sessions and waiving all our session fees ($25 rescheduling fee will apply if you have to change your date), there will be music and food.  We are looking forward to having you to our new space!  1228 Parkway Drive in Santa Fe.

We’ll have live entertainment too!  ”The Glassman” from Element 37   will be playing, the beautiful Saltana Dancers will be performing and Acey May will be there to offer Henna at some great prices.

We had fun at the Carnival shooting this look for La Bamba Pinups, high rise shorts and cute anchor top can both be found on online shop.  Those and some other really cute retro fashions and  inspiration.

Thanks to our beautiful model, Lauren for putting together a great look and having the good idea to make a trip to the Carnival!  …even if we did get a little bit kicked out.

It was a really fun shoot and well worth the drama we caused!

Extremely happy to announce the opening of our Studio in June 2012!
We will be located on 1228 Parkway Drive (off Rufina, 1 block East of Richards) Suite C in Santa Fe, New Mexico!

We’re still working on the details but we’ll keep you posted so you can stop by to see us in our new space!

…and it might just be a princess.  Or not.  Either way, Baby will be very lucky and very loved with a very smart and a really cute big sister who can’t wait to meet her new brother or sister.

We had a great time photographing Jen and her beautiful princess.  Actually, my assistant and I both left the shoot that day a Princess.  It’s official.  Little J said we were.  Both of us.  She made it so, and, Yes …we believe her.  I think you should too.

Motherhood is such a special joy and it is even more so when you know so.

Pregnant women are some of the most beautiful women in the world.  Lucky are the women who have people in their life who realize it, and blessed is the woman who knows this for herself.

If you are a local musician you can submit your entry to win a music video by Cinematic Afterglow to be filmed in and around Santa Fe, New Mexico the summer of 2012.

Entries are being accepted now through March 9, 2012 at 10 p.m..  To be considered you must be a musician or have a band with your own original music, fill out an entry form, submit a CD with or link of a high quality recording of the song you want considered, submit your written lyrics a snapshot of you/and or your band.  The winner will be notified prior to March 22, 2012 when the winner will be announced.  Filming will require multiple sessions during weekdays this summer.

This will be a  collaboration of some great local talent!  Dina DeVore will be the lead makeup/hair artist, who we are really excited to have working with us on this project.  She is amazing!  Concept, visualization, and location will be a collaborative effort with Cinematic Afterglow.

All Genres of music are welcome and will be considered, as will solo artists and large bands.  Cover Music will not be considered.  Original music Only!

We are really looking forward to your entries, you can enter as many times as you like as long as you fill out an entry form and meet requirements (Music/photo…)  for each musical piece to be considered.

We had the good fortune to take portraits for the Santa Fe Spirit Allstars, headed by Christie Baca.  She has a total of 4 teams ranging in ages from 4 to 14.  They are an extremely talented and energetic bunch of …Cheerleaders!!  We had a really good time with them, and Joe has also filmed a performance, the photo shoot, practices and State Competition, in which they did extremely well, by the way!  There are four incredible coaches.  They’ve got great energy, and run a safe and fun program for the girls.  Parent involvement is also big with this group.

I plan to run a two part blog,  and I’ll include more information about the Santa Fe Spirit Allstars.

I’ll have more information soon and plan on putting up team pictures as well.  The video is just about done, and  It’s looking GOOD!

Santa Fe Spirit Cheer Coaches

The Rosario Chapel stands on the ground where Don Diego de Vargas was encamped with his army and statue of the Virgin Mary on his first expedition for the reconquest of New Mexico, in 1692.  He made a promise to erect the chapel in accordance with a vow he made to the Virgin Mary just before retaking the city.  He not only kept his promise to build the chapel but also to make an annual procession or pilgrimage from the parish church to this chapel, which is still made every year on the day of the Coronation of the person who will portray Don Diego DeVargas during the Fiestas De Santa Fe.  We were hired by the Fiesta Council to photograph and film this very special mass.
